LearnCraft is a student-led initiative aimed at breaking down barriers to gamified education for students with learning disabilities from underserved communities. For this, a print activity book will be designed, which will entail interactive, low-cost learning in the hands of students who may not necessarily have ready access to digital technology. Alongside this, a virtual explainer series will be created to help parents, teachers, and community educators better understand the principles behind gamified learning and how they can be adapted across subjects.
The project will also encompass the unveiling of a digital repository open to access of free or low-cost gamified platforms and a fundraiser to assist in outfitting local NGOs with equipment to transition into tech-enabled teaching practices. Lastly, LearnCraft will offer interactive sessions with teachers, mental health experts, and learning specialists to bring these tools into classrooms and aid both students and teachers through the process of more inclusive, interactive education.
